Friday morning at 6:30 o'clock at the residence of her son-in-law, George Hills, on green street, Mrs. Jacob Everson, aged fifty years, died of congestion of the stomach.  Mrs. Everson's maiden name was Luella Matilda Laymon, and she lived here the greater part of her life, being a consistent member of the Christian church and a useful member of society.  She leaves four children, Mrs. Etta Ramsay, Mrs. George Hills, Wilson Everson, and William Everson.  The funeral occurred Sunday afternoon from the residence of west Perry street. – thanks to Kim H

Mrs. Lon (Jacob)  Everson, of Crawfordsville, died last Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Hills, on Green Street, of congestion of the stomach. Deceased was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Layman, of Whitesville. She was a faithful member of the Christian Church for about twenty five years, and was a loving wife and mother. She leaves a husband, two sons, two daughters, and a host of friends to mourn her sudden death. Burial was at Masonic Cemetery. Several from here attended the funeral - thanks to S. for this one
